Know Anyone With Diabetes?

Diabetes runs in my family and finally caught up with me when I was finally diagnosed in October of 2011. I hope my adult children keep this in mind by making sure they schedule regular preventive health care annual physicals.

You know, in addition to us plain everyday folks, there have been a whole bunch of famous people other than Paula Deen who have had diabetes. People like Ty Cobb, Thomas Edison, Howard Hughes, Mike Huckabee, Menachem Begin, Nikita Khrushchev, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Dick Clark, Drew Carey, Mary Tyer Moore, Jerry Lewis, Jack Benny, and many others. Explore this some more by going over to the following web pages:

Food for thought. I have been wondering for awhile now — How’s come there seems to be no specialty grocery stores or restaurants that target a diabetic customer base?

“How’s come there seems to be no specialty grocery stores or restaurants that target a diabetic customer base?” Because it is an “I need” group not an “I want “group. If they tuck merchandise required into a couple little back aisles, you still have to go there to get it. Kind of the way we play “Let’s raise gas prices for no good reason.”
