Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes

History indicates that a number of sects emerged within the era of Second Temple Judaism, the most well-known of which are the Pharisees, Sadducees and Essenes.

It is noted that the history of these three sects is more or less generally based on the narratives of Josephus.

  1. Much like the current 1, 031 flavors of religions, all with their own “twist” on some other religion.

    Now I see how people can spend years studying and comparing religions.
