The Process of Aging

We all get old, or should I say older, until the day we die. That is an unfortunate truism.
I have often said that I suffer from “Peter Pan syndrome” but the sad truth is that I am getting on in years.
I’d rather stop aging and not die, but I have no choice in the matter. Such a cruel fate!
Now, lets move on to something more interesting and informative on the topic.

I like the Peter Pan theory too, I just discovered that my son and his wife are expecting their first child so Peter Pan or not, I’m going to be a grandmother. While I’m very happy for them, I also have to admit my first thought was…I don’t feel old enough to be a grandma yet. I realize at 47 that I am older than my mother was when she became a grandmother for the first time when I had my son…Yet it was a sobering experience.
