I think it’s real simple. One man came and did miracles –some of his followers healed people who had been lame since birth –He himself, healed 10 lepers –the blind, the deaf, the mute, raised the dead and calmed a storm –all with a word.

He said He was sent of God to fulfill the Jewish prophecies –and to save us from sin and death. And hundreds saw Him alive after his death.

So what more do we want??? According to Rick Warren’s book on the Purpose-driven Life:

Our purpose is to 1. love and glorify God –obey Him

and 2. to love mankind and obey God about them

and 3. to imitate Christ –learn of Him –desire to do what the rabbi does, know what the rabbi knows, think as he thinks, etc.

and 4. to serve the Body of Christ with all resources of time, talent and money –and fellowship with the Church

and 5. to tell others about Him so they may be saved.

We are here because a designer/Creator wanted us to be here –and He made everything that was –and He communicated with us through the prophets and apostles and their writings –and through the Holy Spirit, the felt presence of God in our lives. We are to be redeemed by Him through Jesus of Nazareth, who became the ultimate Passover Lamb for the sins of the world.
