Niagara Falls

Here is a bit more on our latest journey.

From Toronto, as written in that infamous “Is Bahar BBQ Catering a Fraud?” Roland’s Ramblings entry, it is over to Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York.

The views from Niagara Falls, Ontario are different than the views from Niagara Falls, New York. The views of the Falls and the rapids are all beautiful no matter how you look at them.

Now, I am going to write something that may be referred to as death defying. How dare I? The devil I say. In addition to what I have written above, I have heard it said that people can have barrels of fun in Niagara Falls.

However, it is very unfortunate that Niagara Falls, Ontario has been overrun with tourist traps with all kinds of distractions taking away from the natural beauty of the river, the falls, and the rapids.

One Response to Niagara Falls

  1. Tim Higgins says:

I spent a very happy time in my life on retreat at the Carmelite monastery in Niagra Falls, Ont., and even did some swimming in the whirlpool. Of course, that was in the Dark Ages (I think we made the trip from Chicago on horseback).

Even then the tourists traps were hard to avoid, but the natural beauty of the area that you describe makes the effort well worth the effort.
