Do The Right Thing

I have always thought if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right. I also believe in doing the right thing; and throughout my adult life, while I may have stumbled from time to time, I have tried the best I can to do the right thing.

Mark Twain said it best.
“Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.”

    Aside from the fact that “Do The Right Thing” was also a forgettable Spike Lee movie, I agree.

    The curious thing is that once upon a time, in the Dark Ages when you and I were young men, people did the right thing for its own sake. Now it seems that far too often they only do it when someone is watching, or under the threat of punishment. Then again, perhaps each generation feels that way.
