The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Watches Out For Our Safety

As all Americans, especially those who travel by commercial aircraft, are astutely aware, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) “protects the nation’s transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce.”

For the life of me, I do not understand the resistance of so-called American patriots who question the concern of the TSA for all our safety. I mean, gimme a break! Why in the world would anyone question the sincerity of the TSA in protecting us all from the crazy terrorists of the world? What is all the brouhaha about calling for a National Opt-Out Day?

After all, the TSA people take their overwhelming responsibility with extreme seriousness and thoroughness. Here, take a look at the boingboing report of the TSA incident involving a heavily-armed soldier.

As my son Adam wrote on one of his internet social networks when he posted the link about that soldier that I also placed in my preceding paragraph, “Gotta love the TSA!”

  1. Tim Higgins says:

Roland, couldn’t agree more. I cannot understand why anyone who would consider themselves an American patriot would object to the protection of our freedoms by the restrictions of them. Neither can I sympathize with anyone who is not willing protect us from terrorists attempting to take over airplanes with a ‘leatherman’, nail clippers, or 4 oz fluid bottles. It’s time for all freedom-loving Americans to quietly stand in line in roped off mazes in order to have unwarranted search and seizures in the form of pornographic pictures taken, when not being subjected to what would be considered sexually deviant pat-downs if they were perpetrated by anyone other than the government.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to end this comment, as my sarcasm keys are all but worn out.
