Death Awaits Me

How cruel it is that we are given life, only to have it taken away. Some sooner than others, with no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Death is the termination of the biological functions that sustain a living organism. Blah. Blah. Blah.

If there is one thing we can be certain of, it’s that we will die. Da-dah-da-dah-da-dah-da-dah.

And so, like it or not, we must all come to an end, even me, just on the basis of my age alone. And now, the end is near; and so I face the final curtain.

Does any of this seem familiar to any of you long-time Roland’s Ramblings readers? It should. Remember this?
