You’ll Never Walk Alone

Every now and again, I feel lost, I feel alone.
It is a feeling that I think most people experience at one time or another. I also think many people are reticent to admit it, or at least admit out loud and to others.
When this feeling comes over me, I become very reflective and I start thinking of a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel. The name of song is “You’ll Never Walk Alone”

The song starts out:

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high,
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky,
And the sweet silver song
Of the lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed, and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone, you’ll never walk alone.
