My father became a diabetic in middle age. He became insulin dependent after a few years of trying to control his diabetes with oral medication. Kathie’s father, my father-in-law, was a more of a typical Type II diabetic. He controlled his diabetes orally. Our son is a diabetic. He did not show signs of diabetes until he was 38 years old. He is insulin dependent. In short, I have lived with close relatives who have had diabetes my entire adult life. There is nothing good I can say about diabetes. I agree with Roland 100%. It is hateful!

I agree as well. Type B is a bitch, but nothing on what you’ve seen, Dale. It gets easy to just blow it off until you read about the people who can’t.
