Democrats and DIRT

I find it interesting that many, if not most, American voters who are either aligned with the Republican Party (aka GOP) or who are not aligned with any political party calling themselves Independents, have no idea what the Democratic Party is all about and then have the unmitigated gall (aka chutzpa or chutzpah) in their tendency to lump all Democrats together as one.

There is much more to the Democratic Party in the United States than those folks realize; and, there are several factions within the Democratic Party of which the aforementioned members of the Republican Party and the so-called, alleged Independents have absolutely no idea.

While many people voice strongly that there should be more than two political parties here in the United States of America, most of those same people fail to actively participate in any of the other many political parties that do exist in the USA.

Bottom line to me:
I am of the opinion that we Americans should all agree to work on those things that we can agree upon in order to make our communities and our country better and greater in being of practical service to all Americans.
That gives rise to my long-standing idea of the DIRT Club:
Demodrats, Independents, and Republicans working Together.

Incidentally, there are also the nonvoters, but I figure they don’t count for anything.

First, gotta agree with hooda thunkit. Second, every group has its factions, and most get lumped together out of “convenience.” For example, a lot of people think “tea Party” and “republican” are synonomous. Every party has a spectrum. In fact, Thursdays I’ll be having a 3-part post called “Communism and Obama for “Dummies”. I had to do some learning about the variety of communism and socialism to do a fair job on that.

Frankly, I don’t believe we have a Democrat or Republican party in government. I think we have caricatures of them, one dimensional and polarized for the convenience of the media and the “low-information” voter.
